What US ps2 version sould i buy!!!!!!!

I am about to buy a new ps2 and i was wondering which version would be the easyest to install a messaih chip or a magic chip on it. Please tell me what you think.

Messiah ONLY works on certain V4 US consoles.....
Try to purchase a V5 or above (better lasers)...
Which shouldn't be a problem if your buying a NEW ps2......
Then purchase the Magic 2...... Have it PROFESSIONALLY installed.....
