I finally managed to make a working copy of Warcraft3, I tried using loads of copy programs.... Cdmate, Clonecd, Cdrwin, Blindwrite. All of which failed to make a working copy.
The only one which worked for me was Fantom CD.
Reading from liteon, all other programs did not report any errors but with Fantom it found one right at the end of the read.
Just thought I would post this for anyone else who is having trouble copying this game with their liteon.
Cheers

I believe it has that "New" Securom New which some Lite-on's have problems with.

BTW: Does reading from a different reader make a difference? Cos the key is picking up that last error.

I'm sure it would be ok to read with a different drive so long as it is capable of reading sub channel data. Unfortunately I upgraded my cdrom (no name brand) to a new model Sony drive and this one doesn't read sub channel data. Big brands aren't always better.
But anyway, I read it with my Liteon 24102B. It picked up that last error right near the end. However, with all other software programs which I have mentioned above, it didn't find any errors. Would it be correct to assume that the problem is not with the Liteon itself but with the software when used with the liteon?

if you encounter errors near the edge of the disc, slow the read speed down.

Did you read it with your lite-on or your cd rom?
Funny how one method works for some people and not for others.
