I have an EnigmaX and finally figured out how to transfer files using FlashFXP. I used XISO to get an XBOX ISO of the Simpsons Road Rage of about 300MB+ so it can fit on a CD-RW.

I was told from the websites that ANY DVD-RW and ANY DVD-R and certain brands of CD-RW's work such as TDK. Others say Memorex DVD-RW's work best.

I could get the Simpsons Road Rage to work on a TDK CD-RW. However, I could not get any other XBOX ISO's to work on any DVD media (various types of DVD-R and DVD-RW). I thought that ANY DVD media works and CD-R's were the problem child. I even burned the Simpsons ISO onto a DVD-RW and it did not work.

Im confused!!!

Also when I use XISO and do a Control-Alt-Delete in WinXP it shows Not Responding for the XISO during a 'Make a xISO' although it does see to finish (~2 Gb ISO) and XISO can read it and says it is valid on the CD or DVD.

I also DID get evolution X to copy to the Memorex DVD-RW to work (but could not get the SImpsons to work <did work on TDK CD-RW>)

Is there any other program to use other than XISO as I am wondering if the XISO maybe is causing the problem?????

PS: Other games I was not able to get ISO's copied using Record Now DX (Pioneer A04) - 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Dead to Right'. Also Outlaw Golf did not work either - then I found out I needed to patch it. I found the patch file for Outlaw Golf and when I tried to apply it - it said it was not the correct size but I still applied it and burned it again with no luck again.

So all that has worked is Simpsons on TDK CD-RW and I think evolution X on Memorex DVD-RW. Also Boxplorer worked on TDK CD-RW and Video selector (NTSC/Pal) for EnigmaX worked on a Plextor CD-RW. All CD-RW's were 74 min. Does 80 min work?

I know there are ALOT of questions but any help would be greatly appreciated as I thought I had it figured out with the Simpsons and then none of my DVD-RW's worked on the other xISO's.

PS: I just tried copying other xISO's found on various websites for XBOX and nothing works on my DVD-RWs.

Comments...Ideas?????

Xiso keeps "not responding" for me as well. So I use this (http://www.megagames.com/console/cgi-bin/dl.cgi?id=xbox&file=xboxisotool!zip) . It's alot better.

Oh yah, the only writable media that doesn't work are cd-r's (xbox wasn't made to read cd-r's). All cd-rw's and dvd-rw's work, unless they are really, REALLY cheap. As for dvd-r's. Very few don't work, but most do.
