i would like to know how to extracts files from a cdi images files ( i have already tried cdmage but it does not work)

You can get hold of a program called daemon tools from www.daemon-tools.com which will act as a virtual cdrom, so you can just mount the .cdi image.
Then just copy any files you want.

Or use CDIRip.
But Daemon's Tools is great.
