Hello Charlie how ya doin man....?
anyways wanted some info on a small problem im having playing ps2 dvd- backup..

I got these ps2 dvd back ups sent to me via mail, and I cant get them to play at all on my ps2....

Just to let u know this is what I have currently on my ps2 ....
Keep in mind I Have been using these methods for the past year or so.....

I have ps2 latest version, I use the credit/card method to boot games... I dont have a chip installed... And I use the gameshark v 1.9 to boot all my cd-r's.Everything boots fine on my ps2, I have over 60 games that i have burned.... and ive had no problem using this method plus the gameshark to boot these games...Anyhow this is the first dvd-r back up that ive tried playing with and it doesnt work at all....Ive heard conflicting stories that say the knife/credit card/cog method will not boot dvd-r's without a chip....

On the other hand ive heard that the credit card method with no chip and using a gameshark v 1.9 will boot dvd-r backups, but thyre is some type of steps involved??????

Anyhow just wanted to know if thyres anyways i can get this dvd-r back up to boot with all that I have and adding no mod chip.

thanks for the help...

I had exactly the same experience with the knife/credit card trick which i used for a short while.
It worked every time on cd ps2 backups but never could i get it to work on ps2 dvd backups.
Charlie and is mate sorted me out with a messiah and problem sorted.
Everyone going to tell you that your going to knacker up your ps2 sooner or later using the knife/credit card trick you must know that allready but that's your choice of course and i hope that you don't i'm just posting to let you know that i couldn't get dvd games to boot that way either.

Magic2 Fella's. Trying to save few dollars today and you end up spending more in the future..Look in the long run and NOT what's right in front of you..

I got this off a Fortune Cookie:
"It is Better to have an Hen tomorrow than an Egg Today".
This could be same said with PS2 almost.
