Can someone please advise me as to whether or not Gamegizmo.com is a legitimate site? I want to order a no-solder chip but don't want to get ripped off. Please respond.

Thanks.

From what I understand they're reliable..But if you wanna guarantee, go to modchip.ca. Super service..
If I were you Magic2 would be wiser..100% non swap..
All the hassle of Swapping back and forth..But it's your choice..

Thanks AO3. I would go for a Magic 2 or better yet a Messiah, But I can't find an installer in my area. As for modchip.ca, I looked at their site too. They are from Canada, right? I live in the US. Don't shipments get hung up at the border? Thank you very much for your help.

That used to happen. But nowadays everything comes through rather quickly. Most packages are labeled as PC parts so they are not investigated any further by customs.

So dont worry about that anymore. Anyways no matter where you buy a chip from it still has to go through customs. Not just from Canada.

Thanks guys. I feel a little better about it now. Modchip.ca looked great but the Ver 4 no solder doesn't mention that it plays DVD back ups. Gamegizmo.com says it does. People in this forum say it does. Are there different versions of this chip? What is the truth? Thanks again!!

For the most part all the no solders that everyone sells are basically the same. Please note that you will not be able to play most ripped dvd games that are on cdr format.

If you are looking for an installer::: LOOK NO FURTHER.
Ship your PS2 to Bill at Freedomlives.com (http://www.freedomlives.com) ...
He comes VERY HIGHLY REC.... by Charlie_PS2 and others.....
He's in Chicago, so it shouldn't cost more than 20.00 shipping....
DEFINATELY worth the shipping and the price of the install (Magic 2 or Messiah)....
Also, I have had no problems with customs.... My Messiah modded PS2 came through PERFECTLY.....
