View Full Version : Multitap doesn't work with Crash Team Racing copy
i have copied Crash team racing with nero and apply the patch successfully, but i can't play with my multitap, but my multitap works well with the original version. Wrong patch ?? Use other burner ??
thx
what settings did you use?
In fact, i used CDRwin to make the iso and i burn it with Nero with the default settings. I don't succeed to burn the iso with cdrwin and i don't know why ??!!
Should i use clone cd instead ??
Actually you can patch a CloneCD image. you can try this:
1. Read the original to hard disk in the normal CloneCD manner
2. Rename the IMG file to BIN and apply the patch in the normal way
3. Rename the BIN file back to IMG
4. Burn the IMG to CD-R with CloneCD
try these clonecd settings :
create a CD-Image using CloneCD with these settings:
Set Read Speed to 8x
Select Read SubChannel Data from Data Tracks
Select Read SubChannel Data from Audio Tracks
Select Abort On Read Error
UnSelect Fast Error Skip
UnSelect Don't report bad sectors
UnSelect Intelligent Bad Sector Scanner
To burn image to cd:
Set Write Speed 2x
Select RAW DAO
Select Don't Repair SubChannel Data
UnSelect Simulate Writing (if available)
Select Burn Proof/Just Link (if available)
unSelect Perform Laser Power Calibration
unSelect Wait until Buffers are full
Select Always close last Session
I can't guarantee anything but its worth a try and let me know the outcome. Happy playing!
Hy !
I try to make the iso as you told me, but there is a sector that is unreadable, and the clone CD setting stop the process.
Should i unselect the option ??
thx
I have also unsuccessfully tried to use the above mentioned CloneCD settings. I had to do the following:
Unselect Abort On Read Error
Select Fast Error Skip
Select Intelligent Bad Sector Scanner
So i guess is depends on your Burner. My Burner is compatible with CloneCD, and these settings work. Also try a lower read speed if you are still experiencing difficulties.
Let me know if it works.
RHett, you do not select fast error skip because psx games do not contain errors.
Neant78, sounds like your source disc is damaged. Try cleaning it or finding another source disc.
No worries sm83. The set up details I mentioned were how I create working backups. It took me a couple of attempts to get it just right. As it may differ for each burner, I wasn't trying to discredit the other alternatives.
