Can someone please tell me what I need to view non-original DVD movies on my UK PS2.
Thanks.

nothing, just pop it in and it should load up. I think the select button calls up the buttons - play etc.

It should work, providing that the burning process was successful and the media used is fairly decent.

Correct, it will boot as a normal dvd movie would on its own without any sort of chip. That is as long as you encode it correctly. I do it all the time.

Thanks Paul and Thanks Tyler.
Apologies for being so stupid, didn't realise I needed a modchip for copied DVD movies as well as games.

Do I need a modchip and gameshark for movies?
What is the cheapest and easiest solution?

you dont need a modchip for copied movies, just stick it in and it will play.

Where did you get the idea that you needed a modchip?

Thanks,
Must have bad media/badly burned DVD's as i have two movies and they don't work.

I got the modchip idea from "I will not answer questions having to do with a ps2 without a modchip because thats WEAK!", sorry I took it out of context.

Ok I get it now.

That is meant for people who do not want to get a modchip for their ps2 backups.
