It is possible but you have to watch out for, dvd copyrights and dual layered dvd's.
Most copyrights can be overiden by just playing the entire movie on your PC, then copying.
For Dual layered dvd's you will need to rip them to fit onto 2 discs. You will also require a lot of Harddrive space for this around 8 gigs or more.
This is just a little something for you to mull over. ;)

www.vcdhelp.com or www.doom9.net
You might be better directing your DVD questions to the DVD Backup forum
You can do one on one copies of original dvd movies providing they'll fit on a dvdr disk (4.7gig).
Dvd movies are copy protected unlike ps2 dvd games for example.
This means that Nero or Prassi programs will not do the job.
You need a program such as DVD DECRYPTER which automatically cracks the protection encryption and then writes an iso image to your hard drive that you can then burn back to dvdr.
With reference to the (4.7gig) above this software can only copy a movie up to and not more than 4.35 gig for technical reasons.
Like PS2 PAUL says though this not really the forum for this but if you want to know where to get DVD DECRYPTER FOR NOWT and links for some really good DVD sites etc just post back and ask.
