anyone have plans for building a solderless mod chip for the ps2 also the program for the mod chip itself or any mod chip plans and programs would be appreciated greatly...I am just getting started on the mod chip stuff and it is interesting to say the least...thanks in advance ...neb

LOL you need to catch up on current events lol.Use the search engine, The no solder mod has been out for a few months but it's not the best solution, The best solution is to get a messiah or a magic 2 chip, hassel free booting without having to do a swap.

I was thinking about getting a messiah but they seem awful difficult to install...thanks and I will do some more reading up...neb

The Messiah IS difficult to install.... BUT, There is NO SUBSTITUTE...... Nothing else is comparable (Except Magic 2, basically same chip)... You can send your PS2 and have a Messiah installed for around $60-80 (US)(not counting price of chip)... In my opinion, thats a great price...
No solder mods are fine... You can play CERTAIN backups... BUT they have too many limitations.....:cool:
