klonoa2 stupid question!! From a newbbie

i've got a rip tutorial for klonoa 2, but cause i'm a newbbie, i don't get it, because os this!!

now time to remove DVD check. open the sles files and make the following change.

SLES_503.54

Offset: 0006C4FC
Offset: 0006C544


NTSC.ELF

Offset: 0006C2C4
Offset: 0006C30C

change 02 to 01.

how can i open them and what EXACTLY do i hava to chenge?? Is it from ie: Offset: 0006C4FC to Offset: 0006C544??? If that's right what i'm telling what do i have to change from 02 to 01!!

Those offsets are for plugging into a patcher or for searching and editing manually in a HexEditor. The offsets are locations in the programming code. The offset represents a two digit byte location. At the first location it will be "01" and needs to be changed to "02", do the same for each in turn, then save them.

Not for the faint at heart.....might want to check out more rip tutorials to see if you can find a patch utility that can automate it for you a bit. It can take up to 10 minutes for a Hexeditor to both open and save a large file--and if you don't have enough free RAM to open the whole file in memory, you may not be able to use a hexeditor (depending on how it's written)
