I'm having tremendous probs with primo, making global images.

I do it as per the tutorial associated with this forum, click explore disc, check drive, make a file called xxxx.gi, click build.

I get px engine errors and it stops or finishes, but says with errors and deletes the file!

Its driving me nuts, tried allsorts, cleaned discs, cleaned lasers, does it on both drives, ricoh and pioneer, so not drive prob.

Anyone got any ideas to try??

I have uninstalled and just redownloaded it to try that.

as usual, any info appreciated,

Ron

Yep. been there; done that; crapped all over the teashirt and strapped "it" behind my back.

You need to disable DMA for the DVR and set the device to PIO. You've probably got something new running on your USB!

if it's not that, then let me know the exact reported error and we'll have another think.

Ok, set both drives to dma off.

That is ricoh dvd reader/cd writer and A04.

Was planning on giving ricoh the 'use' of reading and burn with pioneer, but either way cant get a .gi

is it better to read n write with pioneer? guess prob is.

Dont use usb.

What is PIO??

I would use the Pioneer for everything DVD, staging via hard disk and with the www.psxcopyworld.co.uk tutorial at your fingertips.

PIO is Parallel Input Output (I think).
