When i try to load up the game the screen turns white and nothign happens

Yeah I had a similar problem with that game, I assume your running windows XP and a Nvidia based GPU??? if so, then the solution to your problem is to get the latest critical updates pack from the windows update site. in one of the updates it fixes that problem. good luck!

this only info i know about my coump

1ghz
Nvidia GeForce 2 mx 32 meg video card
50x speed cd-rom drive
EDIT: 512 mb Ram

GPU = Graphics Processing Unit, which you told me, I say get the latest drivers for your video card, they may clear up the problem, also keep resolution and detail levels fairly low, GTA3 is a vid card hog. best I can say man, good luck.
