Can't seem to get CD-RW to play

I have a memorex cd-rw (700mb, 4x multi speed) and it plays fine in my computer but when I put it in my stero it doesn't work, why is that?
I tried every stero in the house and it still didn't work.

cd-r's will work, most likely. cd-rw's are a different kind of media, and dont work in most stereos.

If you have an older DVD player, chances that some media will not work. I have had good experience with Princo CDRs, they seem to work all all 3 of my DVD players from the oldest to the newest wihtout a hitch and they haven't produce a coaster yet !
