Sims PATCH.BAT [Archive]

I need to know how to execute PATCH.BAT from withing TempDir to patch the game. I also need to know where to find PATCH.BAT. I tried to use clonecd to copy The Sims, but it would not copy. Please help

1. Download "The Sims v1.0 [951 KB] Backup CD / Fixed Execxutable"
2. Unrar the archive
3. Unace the PATCH.ACE archive
4. follow the instructions!

This is a bit too easy...
