Help!! Copying PC games

Hi

Iam very new to this copying lark, can any one give me some tips of how to copy PC games, i am having great difficulty as my cd writer wont read them and so i cant copy them.

Would it be possible for anyone to send me a guide of how to copy the games, or if not does anyone know where i can get one from on the net.
