can somebody tell me how to make an Image of silver bottom ps2 games (dvd based) - ive heard a dvd burner is required but it isnt because i can burn to a dvd-r with my regular CD writer so why cant i burn a .bin / .cue to a dvd-r .....all i need to know is how to make an image (or) rip the game......

You CAN'T burn to a DVD-R with a CD-writer......!!:confused:

If you could, why would anybody even invent a DVD burner...
If you can burn a FULL DVD-R with a CD writer you will be RICH!!!:p

they invented the dvd burner to put a dvd on cd-r... they invented the dvd-r to put dvds or large files on it with a cd-writer

The DVD burner is to burn DVD-R's... You can put a dvd on a CD-R without a dvd burner (need dvd drive and cd-r drive) ITS CALLED RIPPING........BUT YOU CAN'T BURN A DVD-R with a CD-R DRIVE!!!

i think we definitely need a moderator. if a cd-r burner could burn to dvd-r, there wouldn't be such a thing as a dvd-r burner. you see, the reason they cost more than cd-r burners is because they can burn dvds. get it? DVD? CD? do you know the difference in size? now don't bother replying because we don't want your cheap and childish insults on this forum
