Two possible casues (assuming your laser isn't shot and it shouldn't be) and you are sure that the DVD-R(s) work elsewhere

1 Clean the lens with a lens cleaning disk

2 Shorten your Messiah wires

Charlie

The game i have on a Apple disk will not load at all
but one of the other games loads to a certain point then freezes
i will try the lens clean first.
you were also saying the wires could be too long why would this efferct this please explain

If wires are too long, then you can get the effect you are describinh. Erratic behaviour with DVD-Rs, for example. But you didn't answer the key question - do you know the DVD-R works elsewhere?

I know of an instance which displayed same symptoms. turned out to be dry joint on 3.3volt line to messiah
