GTA3 help!

i have now succesfully installed the myth no_cd file, but when i play the game, it´s hacking like my graphicscard isn´t fast enought....i have an 1000MhZ cpu, 512MB SD133, GeForce 2 64 MB graphics.... why doesn´t the game run smoothly?? i´ve set the resolution to 1024x768 16bit and it isn´t getting much better even though i set the resolution to 640x480 16bit

So....what to do:(

Turn the draw rate right down to the bottom and turn trails off.
