Hi all. I am VERY new to the PS2 and I've got a few questions. I've got a DVD-ROM in my PC so I can "read" a PS2 DVD-ROM disc but I don't know what I'm looking at. I want to find the toc (table of contents) size so can someone tell me where those values are? Or if special s/w is needed, can you tell me what it is and where to get it? I've searched all over the net and all I come up with is the list of games and their toc values.
Thanks.

The TOC size is that reported by Windows Explorer or the Property applet.

Thanks for the reply and thanks for not making me feel like an idiot. I had that thought while driving home today and just check the toc list I found against some of the games I have and now I know. Sudden attacks of intelligence hit me once and a while. Again, thanks.

okay. Can we extract the TOC from a DVD game and put it on a CD to fake the PS2 console think that there is a DVD game in the machine, so that we can load up the copy DVD game without buying a real DVD PS2 game??
Thanks in advance.

No. The PS2 knows it's a DVD because it can focus on the groove in red light rather than infra-red. So if it focuses in infra-red, it must be a CD.
