View Full Version : Can Messiah play PSX games with Texture Smooth and Fast Loading option ON?

i heard double tapping makes psx games play on messiah,
but it makes the ps2 reset and loads psx games, however can it play psx games with smooth texture and fast loading option on?

btw, channel tech released multi reigion DVD movie boot CD and i downloaded it from megagames, it's amazing and works on my PS2 with neo2 that i can play all region DVD movies, but i heard messiah DVD movie booting method is also different, by using that boot disc, could messiah play all region DVD movies?

you doubletap reset, then open the tray, then turn on smoothing/fast loading, then put in the game and close the tray. works just fine.

At least your messiah boots PSX backups, mine doesn't, bastard thing!!!

Crispy - you should not have any problems bootingps1 games with your messiah. What other techniques have you tried (using the reset button) to try get the machine to play them? Also what version and zone PS2 do you have?

Tried all documented techniques, and all fail... get's the point where it says "Playstation" on the screen, which tells me it recognises the disc, then the screen goes black and stays that way.... but it won't boot any of my PS1 backups, that I know my PS1 console does boot... so I know it's not the discs that are the problem.

I have an Australian SCPH-30002R PAL console, with a Messiah Chip installed.

to make ps1 games boot only 4 wires r needed
ground 3.3v (these u must have done correct as rest functions r ok
reset possibly thiss one maybe it not recogmise doubble press check double check this

lastly but most important many people known to bridge this point
scex i say remove clean then resolder taking exra care
