Swapping Modchips [Archive]

I had my playstation 2 modchippped with a neo 2.2 but now I want to play backup dvd rom games(not rip) . Can I just replace the neo 2.2 with a neo 4 no problems ? This of course would be done by a qualified modchipper , not me . I just need to know wether it can be done or not ;)

but if i was u i put messiah in not the neo

Have been told that Messiah mod chip is only suitable for new PS2 consoles ,so it is time for me to upgrade :( New version PS2 and Messiah coming my way :D
