Anyone get the NoCD loader to work? How'd you do it?

Yeah, tried everything.. doesn't work. I wish they'd test this stuff before putting it up on their website... though that may be a bit hard.

Well or remove the ones that obviously don't work.

Apparently that is just a bloody loader for Age_of_Wonders_2-Razor1911

WTF?

Why the heck would you upload the loader without the original file. The level of stupidity amazes me.

Why the hell would you upload that.. waste the time of thousands of people.. seriously.. wow.

What are you using to read the .NFO file? XP's default choice doesn't work for me.

You read the .nfo's in the future You'll save Your time.

Right, so I should first download the file and then figure out what it is. Brilliant.

So where does a guy get the Razor1911 fixed .exe?

No where, apparently it doesn't even exist yet. :D

I'm having trouble unpacking the rar file containing the loader. It simply won't work, giving me a CRC-error. I'm using WinAce so I wondered if that's what's giving me the problem?

It's great to see you guys in action. I just got my copy of aow2 and already there's a way to skip the hassle of switching cds when I want to play dungeon siege again. Hope Camecopyworld never goes offline.

Still doesn't work for me, even with the Razor-1911 version app. Run B-Loader, then run the Razor version app, and I get a different dialog box asking where the CD is. Running Win2K SP2 w/DX8.1.

I have both. Run both. Top directory of AOW2 install. Doesn't work.

Dang it! Can't play multiplayer with the fixed .exe and loader; kicks me out to the desktop. Using Win XP.

That is exactly what I've done. Running the loader does nothing. I get the hourglass/arrow pointer for a second or two, and b-loader.exe shows up in the process list, but AoW2 never starts. That's why I tried running the Razor .exe afterwards.

Oh yeah, works fine normally with the CD. No problems.

Perhaps it's 'cause I'm running it under Win2K? I don't have a non-2K machine available to me right now, but in a few days I should and I'll try the loader on it.

I was correct. The loader works fine under WinME, but doesn't run under 2K. So there's something wrong with the loader app which keeps it from functioning under at least Win2K SP2.
