I have an american PS2 with a MOD Chip, unfortunately when I try to play a back up of my original ISS2 (internat. Superstar Soccer) I get black and white images and a skipping screen. Why does this happen? Do I need to patch the game before making the back up ? If so, any idea of where to get a patch for that and what kind would I need ?

Pants is a british term meaning it is RUBBISH, GARBAGE!!!!! Buy Winning Eleven 6 or Red Card 2003 instead. Good luck to your country in the World Cup - mine isn't in it!

ThanXX Aporter, unfortunately the REFEREE(s) had decided that Italy was not supposed to pass the 1/8th of final rounds.... unfortunately the FIFA didn't recognize the mistake of havin' a ref. from Equador referee the Italy-Korea match after Italy defeated Ecuador in the beginning !!!
I think this year Italy has been the team penalized the most by bad refereing !!!

What version PS2 do you have? If its a earlier version like V1, or V2 it could be your laser..... What type of modchip do you have..? What brand of DVD-R did you use (the PS2 can be picky). Do you have a friend with a chipped PS2 to test it on? You may have a bad burn.......

BG, thanXXX so much for your reply, I really appreciate it.
I have one of the latest version of the PS2 (I think the V5 or V6). I used Clone CD to burn the game and other games on the same brand of CDs (SONY or memorex or TDK) work fine !
So you don't think it is a patch related problem ?!? You think it could be simply a bad burn ? By the way, my modchip is the one that doesn't require any soldering and works with GAMESHARK.
I also have a slight problem with PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER (the back-up) which I know for sure it is not because of a bad burn as I burned several times and gives me always the same problem, see if u can help me here: ;) When my PS2 plays(runs) the back up of Pro Evol Soccer, the screen gets slightly shifted toward the bottom so that basically I can't see the lower 2-3cm of the immages (including where the signal for the shoot power and the miniature field with all the players are schmatically represented). FYI, I patched the file before burning it with the "PAL 2 NTSC patch" available at megagames.com, do you know if this patch works well? Do you have any idea of why any of these two problems occur? (The second one is more important)
Sorry to bother you withall these questions. Thank you, I appreciate !!
