Messiah (PAL) or Messiah LE

Forgive my noob-ish questions but I've done a search on the forum and can't seem to find a good answer to these questions.

I own a 35001, U6, PT16, 8 screw PS2 so to the best of my knowledge it will function with the current PAL Messiah.

However, since the NEW Messiah LE is coming out shortly and works for all USA PS2's, would it be better for me to use the new LE over the PAL?

According to the Lik-Sang website there is a "bug" with the current Messiah PAL in PSX mode. Does this effect all games? So basically it makes the PSX gameplay very poor visual quality? Is this due to bad wiring or a flaw in the chip? Is there a fix?

I say wait for the new US Messiah. Only days away and it fixes the PS1 colour problem. Also you can move it out of a v4 to a v5 if you need to.

Charlie, thanks for your near-expert opinion :)

I suppose waiting a few weeks may well be worth it. I say a few weeks because I'm sure it will take some time for the manufacture to complete, send it to distributors, have people install it and ensure it actually works, etc.
