IF i get a dvd-ram burner then will i just be able to copy the ps2 games without having to get anything besides the dvd-r's?? Or will I have to get patches and other stuff??

nope just copy them it has no protection on it

Be careful. Not all DVD-RAM burners are supported by PrimoDVD or Nero. Check that first.
