Pioneer 104

Just bought 1 of these dvd burners today and was wanting to update the firmware to make it region free, will this affect copying PS2 games in anyway ?? If so what is the best firmware for it ?

Making the A104 Region Free does not alter it's functionality.

I think the best F/W for that drive is 1.20.

very sorry if this is on the wrong post
but i have a pioneer dvr104 dvrw and the firmware is 1.20
i also have verbatim dvdr data storage version2
but when i put the verb disc into the dvr drive it say 2 gb space used and it read sit as i audio cd when i open the the file on the dvdr it shows a audio file can anyone help me plz thanks in advance

i have a04 1.20
i have used verbatim version2 dvdr np

u sure disk was new unused(still had cellophane wrapper on it)??
