original dungeon siege.exe does not work

already in the demo-version i got a strange error- message about the dungeonsiege.exe and i thought it's only a demo and will be ok in the final version.
now i got the game, want to play it and nothing, the same error-message again, but there is nobody who can tell me what to do.
i even could'nt find a clue on the dungeon siege homepage (forum, faq...).
Everybody tells me how great the game is and i can't play it yet!!!

- die pfadangaben sehen merkwürdig aus (P:\ D:\\ ...)
- den selben fehler hatte ich auch schon bei der demo
- installierte mit original-cds

Nee, da hab ich keine Ahnung, woran das liegen könnte...
Die Path-Angaben sehen wirklich merkwürdig aus.

Schon mal beim Support von MS versucht Hilfe zu bekommen?
