Have just brought copy of jowoods hotel giant but clonyxxx tells me that it is a securom disc which would tie in whith the fact that it has DADC printed in the ring of the disc.

Have imported setting to clonecd 4 latest version
and i have a liteon 241040 writer

all seems to go well with the read and write but upon inserting the backup into either my writer or dvd drive (even with hide cdr media activated) it just spins and frezzes the system till i take the disc out.

I and get the game to work though by mounting image with daemon tools 3

has anyone got any ideas how to burn image without the need of daemon tools.

cheers:)

set clone cd to burn and read at 1x although it keeps burning discs at between 3x and 6x and this method isnt working
anyone else got any other ideas

sounds like you have made an image successfully, since it runs with daemon tools. do u enable securom emulation? if you dont, then it IS a good image.......and i'm not sure about why it wont work.

so the image is good? the only thing is you burned to fast or the mediua couldn;t support it

the image is good as i do not need to run the daemon tools emulations.

I am using some cheap memorex discs with a write speed of 1x - 24x so why wont it actually write at 1x:confused:

Does anyone have any other ideas what it may be i have also tried writing to a tdk silver re writable and get exactly the same result of a spinning disc which windows wont read.

Also when i put these written discs in my dvd player on the pc it will let me see whats on the disc but when i click on the program it just comes up with a windows error.

oh i see that you coulnd't go slower thatn 3. so that is probably your limit. i don;t think it is the speed, but hte speed of the media you used

no,it's the burner...burners cannot do all the speeds....they may do 40x but cannot do 1x...it's impossible for most of them....only if you have a really old 1 you can do it.....
