View Full Version : SafeDisk isn't letting me play copies of games that I bought!

Medal of Honor and Operation Flashpoint have ceased to work. When the autorun screen comes on and I click play the screen will disappear and go back to the desktop. This really pissing me off! I have a LITE-ON 1602B that I use as a burner and reader. Please help.

CD Writers can detect CD-R Media.
There is a tool called CCDTRAY.EXE (or so) with CloneCD3 that can hide CD-R Media. Try this !

Well I tried that, but these are the actual retail versions!!! The ones I bought from the store! Please help me guys

Do you have emulators such as PlayBackup, Insektors or Daemon Tools installed on your system. The newer versions of Safedisk will detect these and as they are blacklisted they won't even let you run your original games.

You could uninstall these programs or update them to unblacklist them.

is there anyway I can find out which programs I downloaded. I know I dled some some programs to get Morrowind to work, but I dont know which ones

Geez, if you don't know, how can you expect someone else to.

It's not which program was downloaded, it's which program was installed/used(some may not install but could write a register entry) that matters. However, if the program was installed, you should be able to find some trace of it in START->PROGRAMS, etc.

Try using RegCleaner (do a SEARCH, the url is here!) to see if it finds a register reference to a file(s) which does not any longer exist on your hdd, etc.

are you sure hide cdr media doesn;t want to work. i have never had a blacklist problem. maybe get the latest CLonecd 4

These are original games he is using - straight outta the shop. I used to have blacklisting problems until I stopped using the emulators cos I didn't need them anymore.

I had this problem back 1 year ago with Max Payne and Operation Flashpoint.
It Just Comes up to the first intro screen and bombs out back to the desktop.
I cant mind what my dad sone, i think he replaced some missing windows files or something. I will talk to him later tonight and tell you how i fixed it.
