Gameshark and GTA3 RIP

Well I finally got GTA3 to work, and the first time I booted it it worked fine. After I turned it off that first time, and went to play it an hour later...... It kept freezing at the opening scene. After playing with it for a while I realized if I reset the gameshark to original factory settings and then booted GTA3 it would work. Problem is I have to reset the gameshark settings everytime I boot GTA3. Is there a way to get around this?

mmmm,sorry iv'e never encountered that problem,is there any memory set up(as such) in the ar/gs card
