Renegade again, this time its serious

Hi everybody first i would like to say that everyone on this forum is a blessing in the dark Backup CD world

So on to my problem. If you have small kids who like to finger on their dadys cd when they shoulden a accident is bound to happend and it did :). My little daughter accidently smashed my C&C Renegade disk (and some others but this is the game i like) but i always keep a copy of the files on my harddrive so i just thought i burn then and a NOcd but hey that didnt work i get this "Insert correct CD" at the setup screen. Now i have sent my orginal cd´s back to the shop and EA and i will get new ones within three weeks but i dont want to wait that long. i have read al there is on this forum and concluded that i need this setup.exe that is protected but where do i find it ? and is it enough?

If the setup exe is protected with Safedisk 2.51 then blast it with Unsafeshit (http://www.kickme.to/CirKutz)

You probably labeled the CDs wrong. Correct label for setup CD is "Renegade Game" (without "s; space is important!).

That program dosenot work or i am to stupid to use it. About the label for Renegade i have Renegade_game are you telling me that becouse i dont have space instead of a underscore it wont isntall????

Please help me i was so close to finsish the game :(

Yes, i think that is the problem. In Nero you have to select Joliet instead of ISO9660 as name format in order to write spaces.

I tried this so far:

1. I burned a new copy just Joliet with the label "Renegade Game" didnt work.....

2. Downloded a file from a site sort of a sister site to GCW it was supposed to remove the safedisc from the setup.exe i started the patch and it worked it said it had patched it okey, so i burned another joliet with the label "Renegade Game" this time a messege "Ini file not found or loaded" appeard please help me i am going crazy

Search for a .ini file in your setup folder. There should be setup.ini and renegade.ini. At least thats on my disc. Meaby the fixed setup.exe needs some extra inis? Dont know. Read the instructions that came with it.
