My JVC DVD player won't allow me to play CD-R's according to the manual. I have created VCD's using Nero using the default settings. The VCD'd aren't recognised in the DVD player. I can play them on my PC DVD drive using PowerDVD.
Is there anyway to burn a VCD so that my JVC machine will recognise it? Are there any settings in Nero I need to adjust or is there some other software I can use?
sorry m8 but if your play dont play CDR's then it Dont play CDR's
tuff shit:D
try different brands of cdr maybe there is a brand which is playable in your DVD

I had the same problem with my kenwood dvd/stereo, will not play cdr/w, was advised to change media, i tried disks with a light blue writing side, copied a vcd workd ok.
dont get the dark blue sided ones as i tried them as well will not play keep getting error message, arita cds are good if you can get them i would try svp communications they have some.
hope this helps

Yeah i too had this problem in my grundig home theatre system.Doesnt play cdr or vcds.
Found out by accident that if they are burned onto a coloured media:green or blue,it plays fine.
hope this helps.

My Sony DVD player will only accept CD-RW's, but I found out that Princo CD-R's work as well.. but that's it, any other media won't work with my $ony.
