Next, i know there are different types of DVD Writer (DVD+R DVD-R, etc.) can someone suggest a DVD Writer that i can use to Back up my original PS2 Games!!! and also Back up my Original DVD Movies

Finally are there different types of blank DVDs? if so what ones would i need?

Please can someone help me, Thank you in anticipation

Well for first thing you will need a DVD Burner that burns DVD-R's..Not DVD+R's..Because PSX2 does NOT read DVD+R's at all..
Also Most DVD players don't read DVD+R either..
Second for copying DVD movies back to DVD-R depending on the size of the movie since DVD-R is only 4.38 gigs although it says 4.7 gigs(Rounded off) you won't be able to copy it 1:1..Unless you rip the DVD file and just put the movie itself with extras taken out!! Besides why bother copying Movies when they're so dirt cheap as is! I could understand games but you gotta understand that Good Brand DVD-R's cost $5.00 to $7.00 and DVD Movies you could get them for $12.00 or less now a days..Get the point?
I recommand(Actually lot of people get this) Pioneer A04 Model for Best results or anything that Burns DVD-R's not DVD+R should do fine!! I talked to several people who doesn't own Pioneer DVD Burner but some other Burners and it seems fine..

Im from the UK and Movies arnt that cheap there about £20 about $30 and they come out about 6 -12 months after u guys accross the river. However i have a contact who gets these films at the same time as they come out in the cinema over here. Now i see a potential for a little extra cash there$£$£$£.

So is there a DVD Writer out there that can do both? copy DVD Movies over 4Gb and copt DVD PS2 titles.

If any one knows of such a device please share with me

Thanks

Nope! Not at the time! Unless you're planning on using DVD ram drive..But obviously it won't supported by PSX2 or DVD player at all..Most Hollywood Movies are 9.4 gig single sided media..
4.7x2=9.4..Where us consumers get single sided 4.7.Although there is combined DVD-R of 9.4 each side of 4.7 but hollywood use 18.8 DVD-R which is 9.4 gig each side..Get the Picture? Until Pioneer releases 9.4 gig Burner there is nothing much can be done!! That's why lot of people who rips DVD back to DVD-R only end up putting the movie itself and not the Extras..
Dual Sided DVD-R 4.7 gig each side combined of 9.4(Consumers)
Dual sided DVD-R 9.4 gig each side combined of 18.8 (Hollywood)
Last I heard(Rumor) that 9.4 gig DVD-R's won't be out due to Copy right reasons..Lots of Pirated movies will be distrbuted if there is 9.4 gig DVD-R's for sale..
But who knows! Matter of time if anything would happen!!
It was same for CD-R's back in late 80's when the Blank CD-R's cost $100 US dollars and CDR costed $100,000.00..
Freakin B.S..Same for Pioneer Scsi DVD-R drive when it was out back in 1998 it was $20,000.00 dollars..Crazy! Now it's under $3,000.00 dollars..Whew!!
