dvdr px2 games help needed pz

i am using a04 writing my backup direct 2 disc via hard drive onto dvdr dics do i need patch do i need boot disc i will b using n 2.2 chip in my px2 any 1 out ther can help me plz

You will need a AR2 or GS2 to boot the backup. As far as i know dvd games are not protected so you shouldnt need to patch.

dvd-r on neo 2.2 requires the dave mirra codes and large TOC game swap
to boot

u can find the method on most modchip sites, and ive seen it outlined here on this forum a heap of times...

what does TOC game mean and dave mirra codes do u need 2 explain clearly as i am a newby

PS2 DVD (Silver or DVD-R)

(1) Boot AR2/GS2 disc 1.
(2) At the main screen, press the EJECT button to eject the CD tray.
(3) Replace the AR2/GS2 disc with an original PS2 DVD game and that game
Must have a bigger toc (table of contents) than the dvd-r game u want to boot. (suggest "Devil May Cry" demo)
(4) Select AR2/GS2 codes, choose "Dave Mirra BMX"
(5) Select START GAME and then select "WITH CODES" wait atleast 10 seconds and press X, you will get an error message saying " TOO MANY CODES" press X agin to lose the message.
(6) Hit START and this time select "WITHOUT CODES"
(7) Once the AR2/GS2 is asking to change the game disc , press the EJECT button till the light changes from green to orange.
(7) The CD tray will now open and you can replace the DVD game with your backup copy.
(8) The CD tray will automatically close after about 5 seconds.
(9) Wait till the the power LED changes from orange to green again and press X now to start the game.

NEO 2.2 is slightly different and goes as follows

PS2 DVD (Silver or DVD-R)

(1) Boot AR2/GS2 disc 1. Holding down the power button all the was till the main screen
(2) At the main screen, while still holding the power button, press the EJECT button to eject the CD tray.
(3) Replace the AR2/GS2 disc with an original PS2 DVD game and that game

(4) Select AR2/GS2 codes, choose "Dave Mirra BMX"
