Metal Slux X Crashes ePSXe

Hello, whenever I play Metal Slug X on ePSXe, it crashes at the "Press 1P or 2P Start" screen, right after it fades out. This happens using all gpu plugins I've tried. Please help!

emulators suck, i would rather deal with worse graphics and play games on a actual playstation. so i dont know what to do if it crashes. because than never happens with a playstation.

Yeah, but playstations cost too much. And my parents wouldn't let me get one anyways.

Thanks, but I've already tried a whole load of other emulators, and ePSXe is the best. Maybe I'll ask it on an ePSXe forum.
