It boots up fine, but then simply stops on a black screen.......IS THERE A PATCH OR SPECIAL PROCEDURE TO FIX THIS??????

It works fine on my Pal (French) DC, but someone told me he had problems with this game : "to boot it you have to unplug all the controllers and re-plug them in the Sega screen". I haven't seen any patch yet.

I don't know if this is the situation or not, but some games don't support the SCART or VGA cable. If you're using the VGA connections (or SCART) and the screen goes black, try unplugging your cable and attaching the Dreamcast game to a standard television set and see if it works.
