2nd hand A03 for $450aus or new A04 for $900

Hi, just wondering what other people would do in my situation, I have the opportunity to buy a 5 month old A03 writer for $450, from someone I know, or a new a04 for $900 (all in aussie dollars)
Is the A04 worth double the price?
