Hmm,
I discovered a dvd region x iso at eDonkey filesharing program.
So I downloaded and burned it (Would be nice, IF IT WOULD WORK!).
How I just said, the PS2 doesn't Boot the CD. The "red-fog Splashscreen" comes up if I insert the Disc ( "Please insert Playstation CD/DVD... or sth. like this")

I Burned the it with rero (version 5551), by importing the cue and burning it with mode2 and xa.

Is this Crap I downloaded, or how should burn this correctly ?

*sigh*

think about it.

there is no way in hell it would boot without a modchip and (if needed) an ORIGINAL swap cd. if you could burn a selfbooting dvd region x cd, you could also burn selfbooting games. which you can't. which noone can cause it's physically impossible for a cd burner to reproduce the copy protection.

Apart from Arakon being right , note that:

1/
CDRWin is the better program with which to burn the cue/bin files

2/
A correctly burned DVDRX will boot behind AR2 if you have the right sort of modchip

3/
A correctly burned DVDRX will boot directly if you have a Messiah chip.

as for 3:

it will boot with a messiah, but it's unable to play any DVDs that way. you have to double-press reset to activate DVD/PSX mode, which means the region x cdr will no longer boot.
it DOES work with an original region x, as that doesn't need the mod functions and will boot even when in psx/dvd mode.
