Oh Goodie, another Genieus, Oh well guess some people have to learn the hard way.
okok i understand, I won't do it anymore.
You're right It is logical that this will damage the ps2 in future.
But the ps2 would not have taken any,
if i did the trick carefully 3-5 times ???

I've never tried the knife trick boot method, and I don't think that I would ever want to. Performing the knife trick 1 time is 1 time too many. Do yourself a favour and purchase a messiah chip, your machine will thank you for it!

Well since we copy games with no moral dilemma about it here is a way to get a new ps2 if you happen to break yours. I reside in the us and it's real easy. When you buy your ps2 you will notice that they scan the barcode of the machine that shows through the box when you purchase it and it prints on your receipt. There is also a foil sticker that has to be broken to open the box. Well if you happen to break your ps2 and need a new one do this. Go to the store and shell $300 for a new one! Just remember this is only a temporary purvhase! When you get home bust out a hairdryer and heat up the foil sticker on the box and GENTLY peel it back! Oh boy! that was easy! For all the protection schemes they devise for protecting their games they sure do a crappy job on this aspect. Well the box is open now carefully take the unit out and apply the hairdryer to the sticker with the UPC code on it. This has to be done for awhile since the sticker is somewhat thicker. Carefully! peel it off starting from the top and work your way down, use a razor blade if needed. Now apply this sticker over the sticker of your broke model. If your controller is broke or your cord is screwed up swicth these out also. Do it anyway and get a brand new one! Repackage the unit, nicely now and you will notice that the stupid tamper proof sticker still STICKS! replace it over the box opening and your done! Wait a few days and take it back to the store and get A REFUND! Always pay for it with cash and just make up an excuse as to why you are returning it. Here is one: I bought it for my nephew but I found out that his parents already bought him one. This works everytime with dumb $6 an hour refund counter clerks. If it's not opened they never care anyway and they NEVER WILL OPEN IT!!
I did this originally to replace the one I spilled beer all over and fried. The only thing that sucks is that you get a newer version but who cares. The all console messiah will be here soon and thats that. Stick a knife in your unit, solder away, kick the machine when your guy dies at the end boss! As long as you have the money for a new one that can be tied up for a few days who cares! Not too mention you don't have to pay some idiot to fix it. I don't know why every one is sooooooo afraid to break thier ps2 when they are so easy to replace for free. It will break eventually mod or no mod knife or no knife so enjoy it!
I have other methods to replace broken units for little or no cost but if you are clever enough to rent a game and copy it then you are clever enough to figure them out yourself.:D
