Thinking of updating my ps1 to a ps2, I have lots of cdr backups.
Can the ps2 games be copied the same way as the ps1??
Also what is the best chip to modify ps2?? dose this involve the swap trick?? And what sort of price am I expected to pay??
Finally is there anyone in Plymouth (England) who can chip it for me ??

Any info would be appriciated

Yes, PS2 games on compact disc can be backed up in the same way as PS1 games. Although it is worth pointing out that many PS2 games are on DVD discs and require a DVD burner to back them up and obviously DVD media.

The best chip by far is the Messiah

dose this involve the swap trick??

No definately not! messiah boots the lot

And what sort of price am I expected to pay??

Depends on who you buy it from, between £50 and £85 for the chip, then there's the installation cost. Contact charlie_ps2 or dust2dust through their profiles, they can help you out with the purchase of the mod-chip
