well your problem is the media you are using, use a good cdr like tdk, verbatim data life plus, ect.
do not use cdrw's because your playstation will not read them.

media is the cd that you are recording to like your sony's.well A patch is a small file which is added to the game(the image you made to your hard drive) file to overwrite or add new information usually related to the Protection side of the game.

those cdr's should work(i have a few games on them and play no problem.)and you will only have to apply patches if it is proctected.or like i said befor.pal-2-ntsc ect.what program are you using to copy the games.

get rid of nero for playstation games anyway, download clonecd or cdrwin which is the best at doing this kind of stuff as long as your burner is compatable with them.ps what is the model # of your burner

no it means that your record it to your hard drive first then burn it back to a cdr.if a patch is needed you apply it to the image on your hard drive

well go here http://www.psxcopyworld.co.uk and get both of them clonecd and ppf-o-matic(this is used to apply the patches)and also there you will find information on how to use ppf-o-matic just look in the download section and then in the tutorials section and this should answer all your questions.
