Anyone know if the generics work for the latest patch just released for Half Life v 1.1.0.9?

Anyone know a patch that works? I mean no-Cd.

Is there a need to make it NoCD? I havent tried it yet (downloading right now), but the versions before didnt need NoCD, so i dont think this one does.

its just that the protection has been removed long long ago, just like quake3

The only kind of 'protection' is the cd-key. (<- Tip: dont ask for one)

I know Quake III don't need the CD, but I got the haldlife and when I run it it asks to insert cd! And also, there are many no-cds for previous versions on GCW...

How come you guys don't need the CD?

the first versions (it started from 1.0.0.5, thats English original CD version) required the cd for singleplayer and multiplayer listenservers. but after a few patches (dont know the versionnumber exactly) they removed the cd checks.

Thats right, you dont need the CD. Tried it, works just fine. Meaby you need to reinstall.
