using i6comp

y0 guys.. well, i take this one more time!

Are there any program execpt i6comp (that didnt work for me:)) that can go inside a Exe patch? I must get the files inside it!

Are you sure you got a IS 6 cab file? Why does i6comp not work? Can you tell me the error message?

Hmm.. yepp.. it says this is not a Installshield6 data cab.. or something like that!

Hmm.. but does i6comp work on *.exe files??

It seems so easy to just get into the file and grab the updatefiles.. but its not.. :/

Nope! You can simply unpack it with WinZip. It has nothing to do with IS6 cab files so i6comp is not needed. Extract the files to a directory you want, replace the exe (with a crack, I guess ;) ) and zip them together. Where's the problem?

BTW: I don't know a programm which can replace files in a zipped exe archive. Maybe I have to write one? Hmm... but I guess I'm to lazy ;)

Haha... thx man!! damn.. i was using WinAce, it doesnt work with WA! Switched to WinRar and it worked! thx alot man :)

i think i kinda lazy too ;)
