I've read somewhere on this forum that the Pioneer A-04 doesn't copy Playstation 2 games.
I hope for your sake that that information is wrong.

uummmmmmm dude am getting that PIONEER DVD-RW sooon the A4 model ?
i figuerd since the A3 did PS2 dvd's which made me think the A4 is even better ?
but how can we make sure that the A4 is good >?
does anyone here have it ? please let us know
i have pioneer dvr-104 which is just the bare drive of the A04 and it rocks.
buffer underrun protection for dvd-r/rw and cd-r/rw
and writes 2x for dvd-r and rw
it copies dvd rom ps2 games without any problems
if you want the dvr-104 and you live in UK goto the following site for a great price at only £299.99 inc VAT
which is really good.
also includes 14 free discs

I've copied dvd-rom games with the pioner. Actually I heard it was the only burner able to copy ps2 games successfully. When I boot my games the video and audio skips, so I haven't figured out how to make it flawless.

SO IS THE PIONEER A104 THE SAME AS THE PIONEER A04 ?
WHY DIFFRENT NAMES
ALL I WANNA KNOW IS IF THE A04 CAN READ AND BURD PS2 DVD;S THANKSS
as far as i know the dvr-104 and the dvr-A04 are the same drives. the only difference is that the 104 doesn't come with any software or discs but the A04 does.
they both have exactly the same features so i guess that seeing that the 104 can copy PS2 games that the A04 can aswell.
i cant help you any more than that.

We received an engineering sample of the Pioneer DVR-A04. The retail version of the drive will come under the codename "DVR-A04". The OEM model will be named "DVR-104". The retail box will included: The drive itself, multilingual operating instructions (7 languages), 5 pieces of Pioneer 74min CD-R media, 2 pieces of Pioneer 4.7GB DVD-R "General use" media, mounting screws, configuration pin jumper, forced eject key and a Staedler Lumocolor pen.

Hey JediKnight76 -
"When I boot my games the video and audio skips, so I haven't figured out how to make it flawless."
I've had that problem, and it's usually due to cheap media. If you do use cheaper media, try burning at 1x rather than "MAX" or 2x... I've found this hleps tremendously. (Also make sure your FirmWare is updated to the most recent.)

has anybody tried burning with the VIVASTAR DVD-R's supplied by bigpockets??????
... seems too cheap to be true
does anybody know what brand the unbranded dvdr's that www.lik-sang.com sell are and do they work????
Elkay
the VIVASTAR discs on bigpockets are the same price each (£1.49) as the bulkpaq, but the bulkpaq comes in a 25 disc pack and is better value and the discs are brilliant aswell.
very good quality.
on some games the fmv scenes skip but not all games.
i would recommend these discs to you.
or you can try jungle.com
they sell packs of 10 dvd-r discs for £54.98 but they are excellent quality.
