Aracanum 1074 no level cap

I have noticed that a couple of Arcanum Fansites (Like Terra Arcanum) have managed to hack the Original /Updated .exe for version 1074 (Yes thats right 1074 NOT 1070) and up the level cap from 50 to 127.............The problem is, it still has that crazy copy protection on it and it won't work with backups/copies. GCW has a fixed .exe for v. 1074 but it still has that stupid 50th level cap on it as far as I can tell. If someone out their could tell me how (e-mail should be on this post)to remove the level cap from GCW's fixed exe for Version 1074 I would greatly appreciate it (it obviously can be done.......especially if its allready ben done to the original protected .exe). I would be more than happy to download the modified (unprotected) file if you have your own site or for the more energetic with time simply mail me the file (kind of large for mailing.....roughly a meg)

Same with me.

I managed to get the information how to raise the level cap, but it's only working for the original exe.
All offsets and even the op codes have been changed in the nocd exe and I can't find any correlation to how it's been working in the original one.
Any help or ideas greatly appreciated.

For anyone still interested ;) I've just uploaded a patch that includes a no-CD for Arcanum 1074 plus the level limit increase (to 126) which also removes that annoying "ali213" logo on startup. I don't know how long it will take to appear but those in a hurry can "roll your own" as follows: backup your original arcanum.exe; download the 1074 Fixed .exe (http://wiretarget.com/games/pc_arcanum.shtml) (use another GCW mirror if this link doesn't work); use ArmKill (http://reversing.kulichki.ru/files/unpack/armkill.rar) to expand it; run the Arcanum Universal Cap Remover (http://brededor.*********/progs/arcanum50patch.htm) on this expanded file to create a new .exe; Rename this new file arcanum.exe and copy it into your Arcanum folder (overwriting any previous file there); add the expanded level rules file (xp_level.mes) only from the House of Lords No Level Cap / Level 127 Cap (http://www.terra-arcanum.com/phpBB/dload.php?action=file&file_id=39) (don't use their copy of arcanum.exe since it lacks the no-CD patch); Enjoy!
