messiah v4 & dvdr

i have a v4 with a messiah fitted and when you try to boot a dvdr backup its goes to the browser screen then sometimes it boots some games but not others why does it go to the browser screen all games are on apple dvdr discs and the games that do not boot will boot ok on another ps2 v5 with messiah fitted any help please thanks

2 possibilities:

- your dvd laser is too weak (prolly damaged from a previous neo 2 install?)

- the wires of the chip are too long. keep all, especially A-I and 3.3V/GND as short as possible.
