I made a backup from a Cactus Data Shield 200 protected disc. After 9 sec on each song there is a click! My carstereo hangs on those clicks in some songs, but the CD player at home works.
The strange thing is when I play it in my PC, the player on he CD comes up, and no clicks are heard.

Sinice the copy-protection obviously does something with the audio, there must be a lower quality on the CD compatred to one withoy a protection. I don't get it! How does it work? How can it be clicks when I made a 1:1 copy?

It's normal that car's cd systems were more special when playing a music cd so be sure you burned successfully your cd.Please tell us which cd recorder do you have in order to help you more accurately.

I use CloneCD 3.3.4.1

Read Subchannel Data and Audio.

Then your copy is not as perfect as spected..so i advise you to extract the tracks to a wav file in your hard drive and burn it into a cd using nero(audio cd). Then you will have a unprotected cd which should work everywhere .Try it!

Good luck!

dont forget after making your perfect copy to take the cd back to the store and complain that it isnt a 'real cd'. i used to think we were hurting artists by this kind of behavior, but artists see about 30 cents from every cd sold. the real money for them is on tour. by taking back the cd, you are sticking it to the RIAA, and everyone wants to do that.
