i have the file downloaded but don't know where to put it....

Look for a .exe with the same name in the install dir and extract the fixed .exe to that dir.

Extract the exe from the RAR achive using WinRAR (http://www.winrar.com) then do as above by replacing the original exe with this new fixed one.

Look for the shortcut of the game in the game's folder.
Start the game or make a shortcut to the desktop from
there coz it doesn't need no cd to play the game. Works for me.
