play psx games on ps2 ...

burned megamanx6 on a memorex 80min cd-r .... wont load on my v5 ntsc ps2 with non-solder mod using gs2 and single swap method ? this is the same problem i have had with ps2 games done the same way ... i don't know whats wrong ... but my advice to anyone considering getting a mod for their ps2 DO NOT GET THE NON-SOLDER MOD FROM LIK-SANG.COM!!! It doesn't work.... nothing works with this crappy ass mod chip.... if anyone has gotten this thing to work, please let me know how you did it , i've tried cd-rw's (memorex, verbatim, sony, imation, tdk) and cd-r's (memorex...trying verbatims on monday) but why should i keep buying different types of cd-r's if it will never work!

Ionno man. I have the exact same modchip, and it works like a charm. Every single type of psx backup (DDR3/4, Bust-a-groove, etc) they all work fine for me. and i know you cant boot dvd-rip over 640mb, but it's still works fine for PS2 CD and DVD-R backups. Perhaps you have a defective chip, or your not doing the swap right?

the installation is simple... a monkey could do it... is there some trick to swapping the disc that i don't know about ? I just did it the way the instructions said to do it... and i tested the chip, everything is ok it's still good
